Working Together for a Stronger District

Real progress happens when leaders listen first and act with the community, not for the community. My commitment is to bring people together, build trust, and make decisions shaped by the voices of those who live here.

Fiscal Responsibility and Combating Fraud

Minnesotans work hard for every dollar they earn, and they deserve a government that treats those dollars with the same care and discipline. My approach is straightforward: protect public funds, eliminate waste, and aggressively pursue fraud that diverts resources away from the people who need them most.

A responsible budget is not about cutting for the sake of cutting. It is about investing wisely, demanding transparency, and ensuring that every program delivers measurable value. Whether it is infrastructure, public safety, or community services, I will insist on accountability at every level, so taxpayers know their money is being used effectively and honestly.

My commitments include:

  • Strengthening oversight and auditing tools to prevent fraud and misuse of funds
  • Prioritizing investments that deliver long‑term value for families and businesses
  • Ensuring transparent reporting so residents can see where their tax dollars go
  • Supporting policies that reward efficiency and responsible stewardship

Fiscal responsibility is how we rebuild trust and ensure government works for the people it serves.

Supporting Education and Local Schools

Strong schools are the backbone of strong communities. In District 196, families deserve reliable transportation, safe learning environments, and classrooms where every student can thrive. I am committed to supporting teachers, empowering parents, and ensuring our schools have the stability and resources they need.

This is personal for many families in our district, and it is personal for me. When transportation breaks down, when communication falters, or when classrooms lack support, students pay the price. We can and must do better.

My commitments include:

  • Improving school transportation reliability so students arrive safely and on time
  • Supporting teachers with the tools, training, and respect they deserve
  • Strengthening partnerships between schools and families
  • Ensuring transparent decision‑making so parents understand how choices are made
  • Advocating for stable, predictable funding that supports long‑term planning

Every child deserves a fair shot at success, and that starts with strong, well‑supported local schools.

Affordability for Working Families

Across Minnesota, families are feeling the pressure of rising costs — groceries, housing, childcare, and everyday essentials. Affordability is not a partisan issue. It is a kitchen table issue that affects every household in our district.

My focus is on practical, common-sense solutions that help families keep more of what they earn and reduce the financial strain on seniors, young families, and working Minnesotans.

My commitments include:

  • Supporting policies that lower everyday costs for families
  • Promoting economic stability and predictable expenses for households
  • Strengthening local businesses that keep our communities vibrant
  • Ensuring seniors can afford to stay in the communities they helped build

Affordability is about protecting opportunity and ensuring every family can thrive.

Public Safety and Strong Communities

Safe neighborhoods are the foundation of a strong community. As a former firefighter, I know what it means to respond when people need help most. Public safety is not an abstract concept; it is a promise we make to one another.

I am committed to ensuring our first responders have the tools, training, and support they need, while also strengthening community partnerships that build trust and prevent crime before it happens.

My commitments include:

  • Supporting police, fire, and EMS with the resources they need to respond effectively
  • Strengthening community-based safety programs that build trust and reduce crime
  • Promoting collaboration between first responders, schools, and local organizations
  • Ensuring emergency response systems remain reliable and well-staffed

Public safety is about protecting every family, every neighborhood, and every future.
